The kid and I did about a 2 hour morning hunt then another 2 hour evening hunt.

On the morning hunt all I found worth looking at were a couple wheats and an old dog tag, 1952.
The kid found a wheat, a dateless buffalo and a Sweet Barber dime, 1915.
On the evening hunt I found some wheats, a small brass bell and a 1897 Indian Head. Also foumd a huge pendant but, don't think it's silver. We got a little distracted on our evening hunt. We found a bunch of junk laying around the back of the abandoned property we were hitting and started digging through it. Lol
Looking through the thrown out trash I found a sterling necklace with a silver pendant. It was still in the box it was bought in, the box was weathered and half falling apart. Lol
The kid ended up finding a pair of earrings marked .925. Not bad for not swinging.
I can't find my scales but, the unicorn pendant I found has some weight to it.

Love that Gorham Sterling unicorn pendant, it's very pretty. It's a Gorham collectible worth more than its scrap value. $25-$35 I would say.
Really nice 1915 Barber too, love that coin! Great hunt! :treasurechest::thumbsup:

Nice digs and keeping an eye out for junked goodies works too as you have proven that old axiom "One man's trash is another's treasure!" Congrats!

Well done as usual DS. The Barber dime is really nice looking.

When I look at the unicorn necklace, I am speechless...

Congratulations on the very productive hunt! The unicorn and earrings are very nice, sometimes the best finds are with your eyes.

I love the dog tax tags too! I especially like the shape of that one. I remember a post you had a few weeks bak about a frederick county dog tag, I have one identical to it, same year! My oldest is 1918. They're definitely one o my favorite things to find. Congrats!

The kid found his only barber quarter from this same property last year and the patina on that one is just like this one. Must be something in the ground at this site.
