Well, first of all Hello from Japan! I've been living here for a year now and needed to find a new hobby. I've always daydreamed of metal detecting and finding the huge cache of gold lol like everyone else on here. The other day I bought a Minelab Equinox 600 originally I was looking at the 540 Vanquish.
Needless to say i'm excited about getting out and hunting. I work on a WW2 military base, originally Japanese of course, lot's of open fields and old parks. I plan to hit the beaches and wooded areas around my area as well. I have a lot of learning to do and hope pick up some helpful gear and tips along the way.
