:o CHECK THIS NAIL OUT :o

I was afraid to post this because you know how some people get jealous and all.

But then I decided that I shouldn't hide my great THing talents.

What do you all think fellow members of NDA (nail diggers of America)?

I plan to get this monster bronzed and mounted for my office.

So, keep hunting and don't get discouraged! ;D

Maybe it was used to hang an old car rim on a tree?? ;D

You never know? It's kind of interesting due to where it was dug. I like to hunt pre-20th century sites I can find in old museum photos. This spike, nail, or whatever, was found inside the area of an old photo view. I can literally see the spot where I dug this item in that old picture.

Now is that cool or what?

To me it's not value as much as history. I could buy all the old coins and relics I wanted. It's the hunt and the thrill in those first seconds of the find that I seek.

What the item is is not nearly as important to me as the history represented in it.

Wow, you really got nailed, LOL! I once found one 18" long 3/4" thick, I thought what the heck is this? Later found out it is a German beer tent stake to secure the support beams in the ground. HH, Mike
