My husband came across this - "King of California" starring Michael Douglas - and we watched it together. It's not SUPPOSED to be a metal detector movie, but THAT'S what made it so interesting to me! If you've got a couple of hours to kill on a Friday night, it's kinda fun.

You're welcome! It's one of those offbeat little movies a lot of us really love - only this time with the bonus of metal detecting/treasure hunting running through it. The scene where the guy gets all glassy-eyed over his new Excal made me laugh out loud!

Well its not a Friday night but I just watched it on Netflix... Michael Douglas plays a great crazy guy. I liked the look on his face when his daughter catches him in her car in the middle of the night. The metal detecting part pretty good too.

Good pick.
