Will probably be moved, but after living and detecting in Colorado for over 30 years,
I'll be moving near Clearwater Florida at the end of the month.
Going to miss so many good people here in Denver and the outskirts.
Hopefully I'll be posting new finds once I settle in.
Take care all who I've had the pleasure to meet, hunt, and shared stories with,
too many good people to name.
Hopefully I'll be back to visit in the spring, so don't dig everything up!

Best of luck on your move to FL. I'm sure there's a bunch of like minded souls out on the early morning sands swinging away in the warmth, yes the warmth, to warm the bones, and you get to detect almost all yr around. Talk about positive action!

Good luck I'm sure you will do great down in Florida !! Do you scuba dive?? you could be the next Mel fisher..That guy stole my dream lol. The treasure coast sounds very exciting. Keep your tnet family posted. Tommy

Well you better get ready for our Florida winters, 100% cotton tee-shirts want be warm enough, buy some 50/50 tee-shirts and flip flops aren't warm enough for winter, buy some sandles, our winters can be rough. Stock up on sun screen, also bring your ice scraper to scrape the sunshine off the windshield of your vehicle.

Good luck in your move. I would take the sand for the snow any day. Hope you find some real treasure on those beaches.

Have a great time in Florida, it sure has its old places. You never know what life will bring. Your Colorado wisdom is top notch, and then some. If you ever get the chance please drop by!!! Happy Hunting!

Get ready to make some great finds! Get you an Excal

I was on the Gulf Coast for 2 weeks over the Christmas / New Years holiday in 2014. I hunted the beaches from St. Petersburg up to Tarpon Springs. A wet suit, sand scoop, and the Excalibur kept me happy all day. In the water or on the sand, you will enjoy yourself.

Good luck with your move, hope you find many treasures

Good luck on your move. I can only imagine how you feel. My wife and I have been talking about moving to Oklahoma in the Spring. The only thing I will miss about Illinois is the great detecting and contacts I have made. I know there is great detecting in Oklahoma also, but it will be like starting all over again. Like yourself, I have enjoyed this hobby in the same state for the last 30 years.

Good luck - don't think there's is much in the way of land hunting - dirt that is
there are a ton of local beach hunters and many vacay hunters - so you have to rely on skill, luck and timing
some times all the skill in the world wont get you the finds -
timing - being in the right place at the right time - you hit there when someone or many lost silver and gold
Luck - wishing you luck - in your move and in your hunting endeavors

Looking forward to seeing your beach finds ! Good luck !
