3-21 Temps in the 70's and the muck was drying enough where it wasn't quicksand .Friday the place gave up two 1780's one reals . Sunday started out slow ,some discarded aluminum ,some stainless forks and spoons :icon_scratch:, so I moved down to where alot of rocks were scattered. First a button ,then some copper rivets . Broken pieces of buttons on top .A 1917 wheatie .More junk, then a 1989 quarter, .47 total clad . Moved again to the edge of the field .Another button . Then a half a buck :o like Sky :icon_pirat: found a while back . A 10 point minus five buck antler . Cool must be a big deer ,aka "Old Unihorn"!! See picture. This place is so peaceful ,what a pleasure it is just being here ..no bugs .Beautiful area. Anyway I could feel the presence of something ??? place was turning into current day item stuff field ..still had the antler 8) 8) 8) which was my best find then out popped a silver . Early US was my first thought .Wasn't meant to be 1916 ..A Denver :o could it be the $$ coin ??? ahhh ..no D. :-\ Next ,I saw gold glimmering , ahhh.. turns out to be a 1995 NJ Ducks Unlimited enameled pin . :dontknow: I had to get adjusted to the fact this was an old farm ,still in operation ,today . Saw a shadow and was startled ..nothing . Strange there it is again ,what is out here ::) ??? ::). I took out my 357 and flipped off the safety. Moved again to where there was some field stone scattered . The whole time I kept thinking com'on yo , you want to meet my little friend . Heard a screech ..what the**!! Magnificent ,giant, redtailed hawk swooped out of the sun and grabbed an unidentified ,screaming varmit within a 20 yds from me . Fur was flying as the critter was cryin" horrible . I felt sick . Anyway no sign of the turkey that was stalking me 4 days ago . So little danger out here in the wilderness, compared to the city. I have lived in Phil. ,Boston ,and Miami..I know about violence and filthly urban dumps. Miss those places . ::) I almost forgot to mention I found an 1806 half cent , , 3 rivets ..one with leather still attached, another shorter piece of pipe stem, a second Wellington plate button..better than previous one found Thur. , 2 and 1/3 buckles & 1774 Charlie III one real . Lead seals and some chards are from Friday. Exhaustion has me mixing a few things up. :-[ Also a pine tree shilling was not found. See pictures. Thanks for checking out my thread . CMDiamonddawg

...but I like that Spanish! :thumbsup :laughing7: .The hardest part for me is posting finds TODAY after a 8 hour search. I have the where part down, it's the when and what I found that I overlap sometimes . So much of the usual to sort through ,clean , organize ,and store . Most of the newer stuff from field sites never gets posted

Those are some GREAT finds and sounds like a super place to get to hunt! That big silver is amazing! It would be a miracle if I found something like that around here. :D

Hi sugar, Miss the city sometimes , now it's nice to visit , and not to live there. I would get a stiff neck from looking over my shoulder all the time . :-\ Family in Boston. Southwest Philly , miss my cuz ,Little Frankie fingers, JJ , Sissy , Cheeze, Strano , Antney and his wife ,Mad Sally .Robbed a few times by 3 to 5 little, foreign, boat people with stiletto knives and had a meth lab blow up near my apt. that destroyed most of the block, but still enjoy North Miami ,was there awhile ...around here may mean road trip time . :icon_pirat: Thanks ,Nana

Thanks ds 200 years of farm use covers alot of different items .It is a chore to sort through what is what ,new from old ,good from bad ,farm equip and fertilizer has killed some nice relics. Still having a blast and hope to get more quality than quantity. Thanks for your interest .CMD
