Got out to a local softball field today for an hour before it got hot..

First off found a nice Mustang Wheel Hub cover. (I know they had a antique car show on this field earlier this year). Its not plastic - nice and heavy chrome - clean - if any Tnet’rs are Pony Car owners and want it - it’s yours.

I can send more pics if needed.

Found $1.42 in fertilizer-stained clad and then this nice 925 silver ring w blue/pink stones - its nice and heavy - 3.7g

Well done my man. I like the ring. Shiny!

Beautiful ring. Nice find. I wonder what year that cover was from. Possible 1970. I used to have a 70 smushstang convertible. A drunk driver totaled it in 1980.

Nice finds. Those center caps were used from 1965 thru 1973. I have a 65, their great cars. That cap was for the Magnum 500 Ford wheels and the reproductions sale for about $30.00 bucks apiece. You should be able to find a buyer. Car guys love original parts. (Assuming it's an original ) Nice find

Congrats on the ring and other finds

Nice ring! Like the Mustang hub too. I had a 1969 (351 Cleveland engine) back in the day and had to sell it after having my first child and needing a "family car" I was in the military at the time and sold it to a member of my unit, who promptly wrapped it around a telephone poll. Still makes me sick to think about it.

Congrats on those digs. :occasion14: That ring would make any hunt better.

Congrats on the nice finds. Regarding the center cap it was indeed utilized on Magnum 500 rims as Relic Nut stated. The type you found were used from '70 -'73 though. Those used on a '69 were similar but not as tall IIRC. RN is also correct in that Magnum 500's were used earlier, but only on the '66 Shelby GT350 and GT350H (the centers were different though). You can tell if it's a factory part if it has a "finger" clip on the back to hold it on. Ford service replacement parts used two screws. The reason? The ones with clips had a habit of falling off! LOL

BTW, the "Pony" in my handle is from my other hobby! I currently have two '66's a coupe and a fastback. :D

I find lots of rings that have been bit by the old lawn mower.. Great find though not to hard to restraighten. Thanks for the post
