Really enjoy seeing the Civil War finds. Wish I had the time and places to do my own hunting. Thought I would post my one Civil War find. Found it while going through forgotten family memorabilia. My great great grandfather's papers where he mustered out of the Indiana 58th when it was inactivated in July 1865. Volunteered in Jan. 1864 at age 17. Any advise on preservation would be appreciated.

First - noticed this is your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: Alabama for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state. Second - I would frame that puppy - it is wonderful to have such a neat document from a family member - NEAT!
