MX5's first gold! Woo hoo!
Collectively 2 days worth of goodies from the same spot ('cept the crucifix). A historic home site (1846) and farm site turned into a city park where the house(s) and farm and kiln still stands.
Decided to start digging nearly everything. Found a little 10k gold ring. Had a good feeling about it as it was deeper than anything in its range (VDI of 6-8) and couldn't be foil. Sure 'nuff it wasn't.
What appears to be a shoe buckle, a large horse buckle and some kind of little copper/brass ?lid? with a horse embossed on it.
Brass lipstick tube, an old lid to a fruit/canning jar with "Boyd's Genuine Porcelain Liner" and a couple .925 trinkets.
The crucifix was from another dig. Turns out it's a 'reliquary cross'. Little fragments of saints inside...
Gotta love this hobby! Now to find a place for all this junque and crappè....
