My 1800's old school house/home dose have a lump.

Hi all,

I was starting to think my 1800's School House. That is now my home was out of silver. Someone found it all or its never been there. Almost every day I think their has to be silver in my yard. ??? The yard has been worked over allot from construction over the years. I think their just has has to be silver. So i search it on and off and today... My first dig, was a 1959 Silver Dime!! :o It is however bent up and squashed a little. But Its still a lump of silver and I am happy with it. I didn't damage it digging cause the damage marks where dirty you can tell if you did it by seeing if the damage is clean. I swear I have been over the yard maybe a dozen times or more. How can I miss this I think. Then I think its not that hard its a small little circumference you could easily skip over it. Oh well here are the pics, enjoy !! Oh he is making the same face I was making as I was Hunting at the time for never finding silver in the yard.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Cool digs Mud! All the time, I am amazed thinking, what are the chances that I happen to pass over the exact small patch of ground to get the signal to dig a nice keeper. I guess hard work and persistance helps as you expertly demonstrated in this post. Well done, keep em coming, good luck!

Smiles!

i have been over some spots a couple of times and still found a silver dime or two during a later hunt. it seems impossible but it isnt. you just cant cover every inch of ground, no matter how careful you are. nice find mud, ill bet there is more where that came from. ;)

i probably hunted my yard 30 times before i found a 44 merc....since then i have found another 44 merc and 2 buffalos.........probably close to 75 total hunts

Is it me or does that dime look melted?

Congrats MUD!
I've had that same thing happen to me. Been over a site numerous times, and still dig up some goodies that I can't believe I missed.
Way to go.
