Here are my finds for the last 2 weeks, I had a silver drought going then I found my 1st Ben Half at an old school and a neat Annual Encampment thing. I've seen the GAR medals but couldn't find anything like this one, if anyone knows the approximate age I would appreciate it. Thanks for looking and HH!

1950 Benjamin Half
1960 Wash quarter
1937 Merc
1948 Munt Van Curacao 2 ½ cent (Dutch coin)
925 smashed ring
Annual Encampment medal ?
Wheats, oldest 1937
Bronx Zoo flattened penny
2 Cub Scout scarf holders

Very nice finds! The encampment metal is really nice. The SV probably stands for Sons of Veterans.

I like the encampment badge!! nice finding Ben isn't it? I've only found one myself. congrats

sweet badge!! nice Ben ;D MR TUFF

:icon_sunny: 8) 8) Smokin' summertime hunts and finds Tommj . I agree with rjs123 . Many GAR Posts sponsored Camps of the SV. In 1925 the SV name was changed to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), under which its federal charter was issued in 1954 . Atlantic City had one encampment in 1910 . I guess Big Ben silver gave you a stir , nice one . A flattened out weedy ring is cool , ya don't see those too often :headbang:

Thanks again everyone for your comments and thanks CMDawg for more information on the badge, I found the badge at a school built in the early 1920s.
