My 2011 High-lites 2 Banner Finds (Thank YOU!)

Hey Gang,
This year proved to be my best relic year since both of my BANNER finds were in 2011. (Thanks to all of my buds who voted; I really appreciate it. )
My favorite and most special find of this year was the SAMBO Cap Gun. The Cannonball Guy did a fabulous job of electrolysis. (Thank you again! ) http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,423067.0.html

The Slave Trade Bracelet was one of those 'it's a what!!!' reaction after having it appraised. I knew it was not grandma's arthritis bracelet or a hippie bracelet, so I sprung for a professional appraisal. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,419944.html

I was really excited to find the North Carolina button, which I have placed in a display with Civil War items I've dug on battlegrounds where my g-grandfather fought. He was in the NC 7th Infantry and was shot/wounded during the Battle of New Bern and lost his leg. Of course, this button was not found on one of those battlefields, but still holds a special meaning.http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,385149.html

As far as CW relics are concerned, my favorite find was the nipple protector, and it was first for me.

My best buy for the year was an 1880's Sailor's brass personal document tube. I also had this one professionally ID-ed and appraised. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,417451.0.html

Last year was the year for jewelry, but I did manage to dig a nice gold ruby ring with some diamond chips.

The most important find this year (and past years) has been all of the friends I've made on TNet. Thank you for allowing me, via the Internet, into your homes.

OUTSTANDING year for you. Not 1, but 2 banners!!! Way to represent NC.
I still can't get over that Sambo gun. That is one of the neatest finds I've seen on Tnet, and the resto job is amazing.
Looking forward to finally meeting you soon in 2012. Maybe you, Mike, and I could get together and hit a few spots. Mike kicks my rump every time, but I keep trying.

Interesting finds for sure, the cap gun is a nice peace, I think there are alot of collectors that would love to reach in and take a hold of it. Nice finds all around. HH
