Short version...Proud dad

Longer version

So we were messin around in the yard with the nox and she had my pinpointer. We dug up a few cans and some barbed wire.
I told her we were going to the park tomorrow so she could drive her jeep around while I metal detect. "No daddy I want to metal detect with you. Maybe we will find a coin that somebody dropped out of their pocket"

Ive never mentioned coin shooting around her. It's just in her blood.

Parenting done right. Rock on, brotherman!

Thats awesome I imagine how much cool stuff I would have if I started at 5 This will be great time together with her. Great post

Yeah my 4 year old stepson is obsessed with finding treasure too.He has been digging a huge hole in my yard over the past few weeks. I guess he saw it on some youtube video. So today I ordered them a bounty hunter jr and a gp pinpointer to share. Gonna be fun times ahead.

Yeah my first car was a 70 ss Chevelle. Silver with black racing stripes. It didnt have the original motor just a 383 stroker. But i was 16 and didnt need that much power. This was also like 2002 or 2003 so I had pretty good taste for a 16 year old.

I remember my High school parking lot full of cudas firebirds gtos I got a 72 chevelle for 500 from a neighbor my brother bought a split bumper 70 camaro for 700 my 70 charger with 318 was 1500 I put the k frame and big block 440 in it. &0 Chevelle or even a 70 hemi convertible cuda showroom floor in 1970 5000 sorry a little off topic Hope to se some more finds from you and the kids . Tommy

My high school parking lot in 1977 was also full of those ‘belly button’ cars. Heavy chevys, Oldslowmobiles, and smelly old Chryslers.

But wow that 401 Donohue was killer.

Anyways, my daughter was also interested in coins and loved to help dad roll hunt. Up until she was about 11.
I’ve said this before, whatever you do don’t let your kids own a smart phone. Really dumbs ‘em down.

That is awesome.

My five year old daughter is into treasure hunting too.

I remembered the other day that wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy up in the woods, when I was here age, we planted a time capsule in the woods, but over the years, the leaves have fallen over it, and about twenty years ago I could not find it. I am pretty sure there is coins in there or something, so I told my five year old daughter, when the snow melts, and the frost is out of the ground, we will get Grandpa's metal detector and head up into the woods to find that time capsule.

Boy was she ever excited.
