A guy from my area has gotten into detecting and purchased a Teknetics Omega 8k the other day. I only know him through other people and have talked to him on facebook but have never met him in person. Having owned the detector I mentioned to him that I could take him out to some of my spots and help him learn the machine. He said yes but also said he was nervous to be around me due to my appearance..lol....ridiculous I say. I guess it's true, you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

Just put a Bag over Your Head :laughing11:

I guess so..lol...the things I go through for trying to lend a hand. Maybe I should suggest a chaperone.

LOL "Ric Savage"

I guess this guy thinks he's going for a one way walk in the woods, and will be pushing up daisy's at the end of the day :laughing9:

Lose about 100 lbs and shrink down to 5' 5", that will help too

<insert middle finger here> :happysmiley:

show up with a really tiny Metal detector that makes
you look twice your size :laughing7:

Maybe I should bring some chocolates and offer a massage.

What :dontknow: That wasn't helpful??? I'll bet the poor guy is 5' 2" an 125 lbs, so you'll still be safe, even shrunken down :laughing7:

Give the guy a break, your arms alone are 3x the size of his legs :laughing9:

In all seriousness, I think it's kind of rude to say that when I was just trying to help him.

I'd totally wear that Jeff...maybe we can find a matching one for you and start a club.

I Agree C_M

You'd be welcome to hunt with me anytime,
as long as you Don't wear the Halo

I'm the same way around guys wearing kneepads and sleeveless shirts. I'm careful bending over to dig. :3some:

:icon_biggrin:

With the chocolates, maybe a bouquet of roses will calm his fears.

So showing up with handcuffs in one hand and a tub of Vaseline in the other might make him uncomfortable?

I feel compelled to express my total heterosexuality after my last statement.

I know exactly what you mean. I look like an axe murderer and get judged quite often on my appearance [I see the looks on peoples faces] but I actually like it because it weeds out a ton of people that aren't worth my time in the first place.
