I got these at a yard sale Saturday. They are marked 830 Niekerk Bros. Holland they also have a head in a circle mark. The lady said they were really old. She wanted $5 each but I didn't have enough left for both, but she said since I liked them so much I could have them both for $5. Does anyone know what they are called. I couldn't find much info about Niekerk Bros. on the web or what they might be other than open work. Does anyone know anything about these? What are they called? what would the value be and how old are they? They weigh a total of 259 g. Any help appreciated.

Nice pieces. I don't know much about Dutch silver but I think you should go give that lady
the other $5 she wanted! lol :laughing7: Because you got one hell of a deal there. :occasion14:

She was the one that offered the price. I would have went to the ATM to get more money but when she said that I could have both for five I was ecstatic. If I wasn't driving I would have done a happy dance all the way home.

Pics are too small for me. The circled helmeted figure should have a letter on the helmet. That would be for the city. You can find out more about Dutch hallmarks here:

I will try to post more pictures of the Hallmarks when I feel a little better. I just had surgery on my knee and need to stay off it as much as possible.

There are more marks on them than what I found originally. They are hard to find in the design. Thanks for the web site it helped with what to look for.

I was wondering about that. Looking forward to more pics. Get that knee better.
