I haven't posted in a while because I haven't been finding much. No big skunk streak, but just 1-3 per box when I find silver. On 6 May we had our first good box in a while. 1 1943 Walking Liberty, 1 1962-D Franklin, 1 1964-D, 6 1967, 2 1968-D, and 2 1969-D. This was a big first for me and got my heart pumping.
I was excited for almost a minute, then I realized the half felt light and just didn't look right. I put it on a scale and it was about 4 grams too light. It also looked very crude under a microscope. My first counterfeit coin in a roll.
My boxes for the 12th and 20th had a total of 7 40%ers.
This weeks box had the side busted out when I picked it up. The teller said the armored car guy dropped the boxes when he delivered them. They order me 4 boxes at a time and I pick 1 up a week. My wife and I each opened our first roll and both rolls had 2 silver each. We thought that was an interesting start. We each opened our second rolls, mine had 1 and hers had 5. Now we were really excited. Almost every roll had some silver in it. My guess would be not more than 10 rolls in the box had no silver. Had Liberty Bells on the ends of 2 rolls.
Here is a picture of the total
The total is:
1 1907 Barber. Only my 2nd Barber in 3+ years.
1 1943-S and 1 1944 Walking Liberty
1 1950, 1 1952, and 1 1963 Franklin
1 1964, 5 1964-D, 3 1965, 3 1966, 22 1967, 21 1968-D, and 15 1969-D silver Kennedys.
Also found 1 1983-S and 1 1997-S Proofs and a 1964 Irish 1 Penny.
In total 12 90% and 64 40%. Not a dream box by established standards (100 or more silver) quantity wise, but it was a dream box for me and I'm pretty sure the most I've ever found in a single box. It would be great if the other boxes the guy dropped have similar results.
