My Best CW Relic Day & Dman's Best Coin Day This Yr-Gold Eagle "I" Button-1801 Coin

With Doug & Josh unable to hunt much right now because of Josh’s work hours & Doug’s business, I made a solo hunt to a U.S. picket post. Thanks to Tennessee Digger & Wayne J., I had a good idea where to hunt in a large field. The bullets ranged from a .44 cal. ball to several .69 cal. 3 ringers. I dug 2 .50 cal. Smith Carbine bullets. My best find was a coat size U.S. Infantry officer’s button with some gold gilt remaining. I wanted to get to 200 CW relics for the year before the grass gets too high to hunt but came up 6 relics shy. My finds before lunch are in the first pic and my after lunch finds are in the 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] pic with the huge chunk of lead on the bottom.
Doug called and I gave him an update. He had a couple of hours and hunted an old home site near his store so he could be close by if needed by one of his employees. He found a lot of coins and other relics. He said it was the “oddest” house hunt he ever had. The coins ranged from a 1901 mint date copper coin to year 2000 Sacajawea Dollars. The large holed 1901 copper coin is a British penny as i.d.ed by Argentium & Crusader (Thanks guys). The last pic is my eagle button. This was Doug’s best coin day this year and my best relic day in 2013. Thanks for looking & HH, Doug & Q.

I didn't want to be the one to tell you, but Dman and Josh have gone off on their own now. They got tired of carrying your equipment around and weren't getting their royalties from your videos. :tongue3:
Congrats on the "I" button, and congrats to Dman on some great looking silver.
I guess the grass isn't too tall afterall? :dontknow:

Any day you can get an eagle button with gilding , you've had a great day. I dug an eagle cuff today and watched it disintegrate in my hand. and D-man gets 3 SLQ's in one day....I've dug one my whole life. Great finds guys!

So, you are saying the buzzards (I mean chicks) have left the nest?-LOL. I doubt it MM but it will probably be Fall bedfore the Trio reunites for a hunt. Fortunately, the site I hunted Friday was in a pasture with about 40 head of very curious cattle and was grazed real close MM. Thanks, Q.

Sweet Infantry button Quindy

Thanks JB. I'll carry the flag for the Trio until Fall as the grass is rapidly getting too high here in hay fields & pastures where our best sites are. HH, Q.

Thanks Bill (Sekypaleo) and good luck in Ohio & East Tenn. HH, Q.

Quindy another great video.. The eagle I is in great shape. Maybe Doug has the right idea with the grass getting high. Like how you showed all the iron you have to go thru to get the good relics. Nice job sir and Congratulations Doug.
