My Best Find Last Week on the Treasure Coast

Took a solo trip to the treasure coast of FL last week to do some SCUBA diving and metal detecting. Although I didn't find any Spanish Treasure because the beaches were so sanded in, I did find this recent drop just north of Vero Beach. It's 14k and has a sapphire and 14 small diamonds (I am assuming sapphire and diamonds are real). I'll be taking it in for an appraisal this week to get the details. Was about 3-4" deep and found with my NOX 800.

Welcome to TreasureNet. Are you aware of the metal detecting restrictions on the Treasure Coast beaches? You can't even get the detector coil wet on a good portion of the Treasure Coast beaches unless your are part of a licensed treasure team with the right to hunt under a Treasure lease. .

Yes I am aware, found this on dry sand which, after doing some research, is legal to hunt without a license or lease from a team. The ring was found just above the towel line.

Gotta say, I always hated government regulations. As much as I love to see treasure preserved and shared, it's damned presumptuous to assume ownership of something that belongs to the taxpayers - and good citizens - anyway.
