My Best Site of the Year- Rare Shell, 1843 New Orleans Coin, Hat Pin, & Buttons

My Best site of the year yielded an 1843 New Orleans Silver Dime, a 24 pd. Bormann(rare size), a Texas Hat Pin, and 2 nice US/CS "V" Voltiquer Buttons. All of these relics were dug close together(within 40 yards of each other).

Texas Hat Pin and 2 "V" Volitiquer Buttons

Below is a pic of a Texas Hat Pin and 2 US/CS "V" Voltiquer Buttons- all dug close together near Vicksburg, MS. Voltiquer Buttons were used by CS and US Troops during the Civil War.

Thanks Seeker. The 24 Pd. bormann was between 1 1/2 feet to 2 feet deep.

The 1843 Silver Dime is on the front of the Jan. 2006 Issue of American Digger magazine. My first time to ever have that honor. Thanks Butch and Anita.
