My best SLQ

Here is my best Standing Liberty quarter! I dug it at the top of a hill in an almost pure sand soil at about 6-7" deep. I immediately saw how nice the condition was and took special care not to rub it, even slightly. (I made that mistake a few days earlier on a pristine Barber quarter I found at the same spot)

I picked it up by the edge and blew as much of the sand and dust off as I could, then wrapped it in toilet paper and put it in my watch pocket. All I have ever done with the coin is give it a good rinse in running water and patted it dry.

I can't seem to get a totally clear pic in macro, but this will have to do for now. It is a much nicer looking coin in the hand.

Wow!!!!! congrats on an awesome SLQ, that coin is 1 on my wish list for this year! That is by far the best dug SLQ i have ever seen. Awesome find! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Wow!! That's a Beauty!! I'd give that coin an XF+ from what I can see in the picture.

Congratulations!! That certainly is one to be proud of. Have never seen a dug SLQ of that quality.
