That's an ammonite. The store had a certificate of authenticity Displayed where it was being sold at. Bought it for $25.00.

That's going in my fossil collection!

Nice ammonite. Certificate of authenticity from where? Are people making fake one's? Used to bring them home often and never really thought about selling them. Hmm...

Not sure where the certificate came from. I actually was in North Idaho when I got it. I just got home to south Idaho, so I cant check.

About 66000000 years old. Ammonites Went extinct with the dinosaurs.
 

The people on thefossilforum.com gave me some interesting info. 90% of ammonite fossils have the internal parts carved. However, they were able to tell that this was an authentic fossil.
