I'd posted these a couple of years back (before this part of TreasureNet existed), so I thought I'd re-post them here. I found these (except the axe head) in North Carolina back in the early 1980's. Too bad so many were broken, but the field had been actively used for many years. The axe head, as far as I know, is from New Hampshire; I think it was left in my parent's house in NH when they bought it. The quarters are for size reference.

Nice collection, I see quite a few Savanah Rivers. I'm yet to find a groved Axe, very nice.

Molly. :)

Great pics, the plows are not very kind to the larger relics >:(

Nice collection. I also like the potsherds. Have you ever tried to match any of them up?

Thanks all. I'd tried to piece together the pottery parts when I'd first found them, with no luck at all.

Some nice stuff!
Have you found much since you've been in NH?
I'm in Ma and just getting started. Haven't found a point yet. Got a feeling the Merrimack river has some secrets to reveal.
Do you still go out and hunt?

Thanks.
No, I've never found anything of the sort in NH. I have a couple of friends who have farmed large fields for many years and they've never found any either, so I'm fairly discouraged from trying. But I have heard of things turning up locally on occasion... but they seem few and far between.
