According to today's spot, about 17 bucks, less the profit margin required by the buyer, which is gonna be a few points.

A 1923 peace dollar.. Gleaner is right... Not a highly collectable year coin.. But a silver coin none the less.. If you don't need the money I would reccomend just holding on to it... Hope this helps..

Thanks to all. He always carried this coin,,

If it's your Dad coin, It's priceless. Keep it close forever.

it probably has more sentimental value than cash value. at a local coin shop near my home the dealer might give you $27-$30. if I were you I'd keep it.

Those aren't worth that much. Maybe 20 bucks

Since the coin has minimal if any collector value you might consider having your father's name engraved on the coin and making it a family heirloom.

A 1923 S Peace Dollar in a poor condition such as that is valued at around $28.
It contains .7735 ounces of silver valued at about $17.

These are normally collected and held on to because they are 90% silver. I would suggest that you do the same. You never know what the future may bring. A precious metal is a precious metal.

It should have significant sentimental value; keep it for memories of your dad and your own good luck.
Don...........

+1 to this suggestion
