My day's finds

Hoping to possibly find some silver to match the 4 wheaties I found in the yard last weekend, I went back out and did some more searching. No silver, not even another wheatie. Not even a clad! But I did find some other neat stuff before I had to go and get some other kind of my other favorite treasure, autographs from players from my favorite hockey team.

Cool digs! What is your favorite team? Mine is the New York Islanders. I have a 2002 team signed stick. That was back in the Peca, Aucoin, Yashin, DiPietro, Asham, etc. days!

I actually like an AHL team, the Albany River Rats. It's a nice deal, the level of play is almost as good and the ticket prices are a LOT less, plus it's easier to get the players' autographs at the AHL level before they become the NHL stars! I take pictures of the players during the games, then have them sign the photos. It's a unique collection that I have, plus some of the players like seeing the pictures and ask for copies. I can't really say I have a favorite NHL team, it's more that I like teams where former River Rats are now playing.

That Isles stick must be nice! There's more treasure out there than the metallic kind!

I think I may be able to go back out detecting this morning, I'm thinking of going to where I found the 1918 wheatback last weekend.
