Hi mates.
I'm in holidays. My best holidays. I began digging rusty metals but it ended on hammered silver coins. I wanted to share it with you but i'm speechless. I can only post the photos.
Your help is appreciated as always.
This is difficult stuff.

Great funds Vince! I would be speechless as well.

Sure don't find things like that in the USA or most of the USA. Very nice old pieces of history

Very well done Vince. Those are awesome old coins.

Best of luck to you!

Great coins Vince. The age of those coins is something I can only dream of here.

Very cool. I'd be researching these for sure if I found them.

That would be a dream day for most of us, Sweet!!

I'd be speechless too!

Congratulations.

Yes, the best holidays are detecting ones! (In fact its the only holidays I have)

Nice early silvers!!

Cru'Dads Thoughts;

The first one looks like a Bronze ‘Dragging Captive’type AD 364-378

The second looks like it may be a BC Greek or Roman colony type??

I have been able to ID the last one which is a Roman Republic(Sears Vol I No 267) of M Fannius and L Critonius 86 BC:

Very nice ancient coins! You had a good holiday

I need to understand more about these, so I can judge whether to vote or not.

Where both silvers found on the same day?

Now thats the dream! :headbang:

Wow congrats on some great coin finds

Hi Cru,
Thank you for your help, as always.
Yes, it is it.
First i thought it is an Illyrian coin but you are right because the roman invaded Illyria around 170 BC.

Wow, what a phenomenal bunch of find!

Major congrs

Oh yes, but in very different places. In the first photo is the shown the second coin i found around 12.00. The first one was very damaged. I heard about a very old church, disappeared because the villagers used the stones to build their houses and that's why i searched in that area. The legends say that Imperior Iustiniani hided in that area his gold.
Than i found the first silver coin with the cow feeding its baby. I left the area before having a skin burst.
Then i traveled in the middle of the mountains for about 15 km where Via Egnatia used to be. I found the second silver coin(the roman one with the head of Ceres) only one meter from where i began searching. Than i found other two coins, some lead stuff and also lead bullets.

Someday i will get back there.
