My dump bank closed my account

Yesterday I got on the mail a check for $3.51 from my dump bank. They also sent me the debit slip.

This Bank closed my account with all telling me before.

I did not have a high balance and I just used the account to dump with no other transactions at all.

I think that was the reason for closing it.

I will call to complain just for fun. I do not really care.

I opened it with the minimun balance but I was keeping just about $1.00 the rest about $300 was for CRH

Thats crap if you ask me. Was there a minimum balance you had to keep? That's the only reason I can see you getting the boot.

Banks can, and do, dump customers for various reasons. There is nothing illegal about it unless the motivation was one of the cardinal discrimination no-no's (age, sex, race, disability, etc...)

OP, get your chexsystems report and make sure they did not put any negatives there. If they did, dispute them ASAP as this can affect your ability to open new accounts at other banks.

Banks suck. They need more bailout money. If they closed my acct. without telling me I'd be headed up there right now
