Howdy All. Got out to my current favorite site (1910 homestead) but the finds are getting thinner, could only manage the following:

Flat Brass Clock Plate?? (found all three pcs in separate holes)
Thumb Screw Whatzit with "Segal" Engraving
Large Iron Whatzit (Possibly a Hood Ornament??)
Squashed Brass Ashtray
Brass Gromets
Brass Vintage Tent Slip (My 5th one at this site all 8+IN Deep)
Pc of a Cap Gun
1910 Wheatie

Thanks for viewing and LMK if you have any ideas on the Whatzit's. HHTA.

Cool stuff! :) Any ID on the gun? I found a fragment of a Hubley Ric-O-Shay Jr., earlier this year. The company made a long line of toy guns. Also, the ashtray...is there anything embossed on it?

Hello Jarl. Thanks for the reply. I can't see any ID engraving on the gun, it may have been on the barrel. There is probably something engraved on the ashtray but it is too crumpled up to see it. I wish there was a way to straighten it out.

Congrats on your Finds!!..That Wheaties is an Oldie for sure

I recollect in the distant past seeing a car decoration that covered a radiator cap that looked like your cast iron thing. If I can find out more I'll post it here.

rad cap.webpSomething like this cap off of a 34 Ford is what I had in mind, but I couldn't find any that looks like what you have.

Hello BosnMate. Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same on this piece but the ones I am used to are thinner metal and the long axis runs along the length of the fin unlike mine. Also mine is not cast, it is magnetic steel. Posted it on the "What Is It" Forum, maybe there is an answer there. Good luck.
