O.K., I took Ridley with me today, and was forced to dig up his leftovers. ;D I did find a nice CW era bullet, because I beat him to the spot I think? Actually, it was our 1st time out, and we both had a great time.
My finds were:
*A 1948 vaccination tag.

*CW era bullet. Note the small ring around the top. Anyone have any info on this style bullet?

*Two wheat pennies - 1953 & 1944.
My other coin finds were clad: 87' Quarter , 64' Nickel , 67' & 77' Dimes.
(No silver for ME today. Someone else found it!)

*A neat old "Cleveland Work Wear" button.

*Shotgun shell heads.

*An old clamp for clothing. All I can make out is "PAT 2382" .

*Two bullet casings: "W-W S&W 32 Long" and a "R-P Rem Mag 7mm".

*An old valve stem cap engraved "Cleveland-Dill".

*A two-piece nut & insert that says "Sprayer System" on it.

Well, those are my humble finds for today.
Thanks all,
MM

nice finds mate, how did you clean them so good?

Some of my items that I know aren't worth anything I toss into the coin tumbler with aquarium gravel, dish soap, and water. Just an hour in there does wonders.

Look's like an ole' Enfield round MM......could be wrong....The farm seem's to be neverending.....Great dig's,hope Ridley is watchin' your every move ;)

It's funny you should say that.
I'd start to dig a plug and look over. MM would be there digging one too. Then I'd be filling the plug, look over and he'd be gone. Then I'd find another target and start to dig and look over and he'd be in another spot across the yard. Then he'd be gone again.
He moves around fast. ;)
Ridley

Ridley,
I had to move fast, because I knew you would beat me to the good stuff. If I had a dollar for everytime I heard you yell "ya-hoo" yesterday, I'd be rich. We ain't leaving next time until I find a silver coin. ;D
I still can't get over you finding another of those old silver bracelets! Unreal.

Oh no, did you accidently dig up what was left of Fido? :D I was hunting with a friend once and they dug up a collar with an engraved doggie tag. I said "rebury it", I don't need any ghost dog peeing on my rims because his eternal resting place was distrubed." :-\

Charlene,
Funny you mentioned that. I have found about 5 different dog tags already on this property all the way back to 1948. Yesterday, I dug up two chains in different locations by the dog pens. I kept pulling them up link by link out of the ground, but they were still solid into the dirt. I figured maybe there was a dog on the other end. ;D I gave up, and buried the chains back up. :(

There is always something new to discover at that farm.
