My father dug an old pocket knife, any ideas om its age.

My father is just starting out and in the same field i have gotten all the Lc he got a real beat up pocket knife real far down. he was interested if anyone could date it. thanks

Obviously, it's a 1729 Earth&Dirt Model, maybe 1730. They remodeled in 1730 and added another very small blade for cleaning fingernails. Then again, it might be an 1802, which added a screwdriver, flatblade, which I can't quite make out.

I couldn't tell until I took off my glasses, now it's in focus and plane as day. It's definitely a 1947 hoofmud remover. Some farmer probably lost it while cleaning the mud out of a hoof.
