Well, there were 3 of us today and we hit some places very hard. We started at a School & Church that dates back to 1844. Only one of us got anything from there...A wheatie and a Washington State tax token. Then we moved on to a few schools and a park. I didn't find anything old today, but had a great time out with my detector friends.

At the end of the day, my pouch had 51 coins for a grand total of $3.87 :)

There is also a whatizit. Any idea's ???

Nice job on the clad....The thingy could be some kind of tuning key for an instrument, just a guess...Congrat's..

51 coins is a nice total! im not sure but that key looks like the kind that turns a water valve on the outside of buildings. it looks like it would fit the square hole. sometimes you see these, where the people dont want just anyone to be able to turn the water on. but thats just a guess....

I agree, I think it is a water shut off key. Now to go turn off the neighbors water hehehehe ;D

LMAO!

Sounds fun!

Practical jokes are always good! ;)

Nice going on the clad.

A water key is female and the valve it operates is male, that's the opposite of what you have.

The first thing that came to my mind was a pendulum (the one on the dipping bird) like Patriots.24...Chargers.21..VICTORY!!!!!! posted too. But after I read what civilman1 posted I sort of think that's right. A guitar string tightener.

Congrats on your finds! :)

thanks for the correction. now i remember seeing a lot of them stripped and roughed up from people trying to use pipe wrenches on them little things.

WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE WASHINGTON TOKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I can see if I can get it from my friend to post a picture of. It is a common token, I found them all over ebay for like $1 each ;D

Glad you had a good time. Remember to hit the edges and not so obvious spots. We have gone back to places we have hit hard and pulled good coins out from under bushes, in ivy, under logs, etc.
