Thank you! The key was a fun find, it was right next to the door I presume it used to unlock. On a building built in 1872, the year after the patent date. Tried to offer it to the buildings owner as a thank you gift for allowing me to dig a virgin civil war, war of 1812, 1800s all girl Catholic college, and eventual boys reformatory site. So full of history and NOONE has ever been allowed to hunt it until now. But they were not interested in any of the finds. It boggled my mind.

I used to live a little east of Three Lakes on Hwy 32. Now that I'm retired, I'm hoping to take a week with my younger Daughter n get up there to check all the great sites I remember from the 50s n 60s. 😁 Just too bad that my favorite place to stay, the Chalet Hotel, burned down several years ago. 😞 I miss Wisconsin.

I just Google searched the three lakes area, and you were truely at the heart of Wisconsin. I can easily see why you would miss it there!
