i did promise to start posting a few pictures of my finds so ill try to impress .........

OK ive found something simaler to this but its just the loop bit ( no stem ) probably a roman key. definitely a key.

The thing you are saying looks like a key looks like an old hammer lock firing pin out of a musket to me. But then hey what do I know, I'm a west coaster. We don't find relics out here, just gold rings and junk like that. 8)

NO SORRY coinshooter that one up theres actaully a Roman Key. I punched it into google search. Anyway im just waitin to get the chance to show you my finds. Nice seein you buddy.

Hi Bleep, judging from the handle of your key , i would date it to the middle ages (gothic period, 14th cent.). I have found some very similar key over here in germany. Nice find. Folkert
