This hobby is weird sometimes. I had found 2 Barber halves and a Barber quarter before i finally scored my first dime. I met up with Silversweeper again today for another fun time playing in dirt. For 2 days in a row, Silversweeper scored silver on his first signal.........so i'm gonna have to devise a plan to disable his first signal and give it to me. I only found 6 or 7 IMG_1929.webpIMG_1931.webpIMG_1912.webp coins, but half of them were either wheats or silver. The 1905 Barber dime is in great shape, and shows full liberty on the headband

Now that is a sweet little dime there, John. Very nice details, good score for a first Barber dime! Good thing you got there before me or that one might have been in my pocket instead of yours......lol.

I've found Barber dimes but never a quarter or half....
Good Job !!

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

gosh, i love the barber series. congrats.

Congrats on your first barber dime!!! Happy Hunting.

You're one up on me dude. Nice!

Lol Brad, you would have went right to that Barber on your first target. I have a feeling we're not done finding goodies out of that place.

Excellent barber, great shape.

Great finds! Thanks for sharing...

Wow, awesome dime. You are right about the weird factor. I found a seated half, a hand full of merc dimes and have yet to find a barber anything. In fact, I haven't found even one silver quarter of any type, in two years. But there is that "Always looking for..." aspect that keeps us all going.

Yeah, things don't always work in a logical order with metal detecting. My first silver half was a seated, followed by 2 barbers, and then a walker, then a Franklin

Man what a nice barber, full liberty too..Nice..

Ha, you two are like two kids playing in a dirtpile! Nice finds, wait a minute, you are two kids in a dirtpile!

Great dime! Congrats- those Barbers are awesome coins.
