My First Cannon Ball and Some Other Goodies!

I found what i believe to be cannon ball. It weighs almost 4 pounds exactly and meseaured 3.187 on the caliper. I dont know much about them and im not for sure if its a solid shot. It seems pretty symmetrical except in one spot where it looks like a fuse would go or it may be missing a chunk. I also found four flat buttons, two; two piece buttons, harmonica reed, lock, pewter handle of some sort, musket ball, and what I believe to be a lappel pin of some sort. Thanks for looking!

Ya know, if there was even a chance that the "cannonball" might be filled with black powder. I wouldn't be

Thanks guys, I think the sheild may be a saddle sheild. Can any one tell by the pics if it is a solid shot or not?
