Unfortunately its not from early days of the house I found it, it was built in 1769, but it was fun to find anyway and kind of appropriate with Easter being this Sunday. it had $1.62 of clad in it.

Here are some other items I've found at the same house: Buckles, rosettes, small flat buttons, an extremely smashed crotal bell, telephone bell, cane tip, three dog tags 1912, 1927, 1971, dummy cartridge case, half of a pewter dish, a bell bottom pull tab (must be from the 70's) and some kind of brass High/Low indicator maybe from an old tractor.

9 dimes, 12 nickels, 12 Pennys all clad nothing extraordinary. It was left there sometime between 1996 (newest coin) and 2000 (when the current owner bought the house).

Very nice cache:coffee2:I imagine you were smiling the whole time!
