Haven't found a lot of Civil War artifacts but was at different site today and found my first Confederate Button. A Confederate Infantry, "I" button. Coat button, Two-piece, back mark is C. Rowley, Extra Rich. the shank is missing but its a beauty.

Congratulations on a Beautiful button!!! That first Reb button is hard to find. I couldn't find one
for many years until I decided that going to the Confederate camps folks said were hunted out might work.

WTG on the I Button. I'd love to dig more CW stuff but I'm way up here in CT.

Now that’s cool [emoji41] !!

Very Nice .
Don't think I have ever dug a Confederate 'I' with a Back-Mark. Strange IMO ; heck My GA button was a local but it has a brass back .

That button would make my year .

Very nice! Congrats!
