Got out with Fast Frank for a few hours this afternoon.hit a cellar hole we had hit in the past.
I got a iron grape shot i believe :icon_scratch: a broken trigger guard i think :icon_scratch: a 1930 wheatie,a huge D-type buckle and my first large copper.King George II in really rough shape.i didn't peroxide it because i think the crust of dirt is the only thing holding what detail is left.
*** I ended up using peroxide after all! *** didn't help much but didn't hurt it eiether....it is what it is :laughing9:

Nice find, Dave. The King George held up better than some of our field coppers. Keep hunting CT hard!

Great stuff Dave...Its nice to get get your first copper of the year...We got hammered with snow up here in mass too...I finaly got out this weekend myself...The snow is melting finally tho...Congrats on the George :thumbsup:
 
If the last two pics are after peroxide, it definitely helped! Great pics and hunt :thumbsup:
 
Ive dug them in a lot worse condition then that. Always good to get a ID, Even better to get a date. Keep up the good work HMN.
