My friends and I went to a spot that has been consistently producing coins from the 1700’s and no newer than 1864. My buddies were on the leader board, I was not... On my way out I got a mixed signal on my XP Deus that I couldn’t walk away from. I dig, and was able to recover this destroyed CT Copper that was in the same hole as an iron target.

I believe that it’s a 1787 as the bust is facing left. I could be mistaken all together but we’ve found other early coppers in this particular spot. This is my first CT copper and I found it using a custom program that I came up with on my XP Deus called Mikes12. I hope that everyone else had a nice weekend.

Congratualtions! :headbang:

Pretty beat up...But it's still a very good find.

Congratulations! Wow, great find!! :occasion14:

Its not beat up, its just been aging for a few years! Nice find.:laughing7:

Isn’t that fabulous? It is neat trying to figure out exactly what the coin is...Finding 1700s anything makes for a perfect hunt in my book.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice find! :icon_thumleft: Man a 1700's coin. Very cool!

Very nice.Congrats

You just saved a nice piece of history. Congrats

It looks more like a King George II halfpenny than a CT Copper to me (though I can't make out any legends in the photo.)

Might you have a photo of the reverse?
