After 5 days in vinegar, the 1913 is apparent and is in fact a Type I

Coincidence that my first dateless turned to be a 1913 :)

Does anyone know if it is possible for the mint mark to be visible?

I've pulled something like 4 dateless buffaloes a few weeks ago. All had visable signs ofmint mark. Odds are good that if it had one after 5 days in the vinegar it would've shown. Can I see pics to compare to mine?

Just an FYI - If its a Type I, it has to be a 1913. No need to chemically date a Type I unless you just want to.

^ yea i just figured that out after i researched the date

Photos are bad cause im using an ipod touch, but you can just barley see the date

Enjoy

Looks good to me. It stinks that it gets that flat grey look after the vinegar bath
