It is a schenkl artillery shell that I found yesterday while putting in fence posts. I slammed the post hole diggers in the ground and this was in the bottom of the hole.heheheh

So, your detector of choice are post hole diggers ? How's the depth on them ? If they find shells that well, I may have to try that out next time. Awesome find, don't find too many shells anymore !
