Ok so i got my first MD today and pinpointer, i was to excited to wait until tomorrow to give it a try so i put on the headlight and headed out, found a couple nails and staples then i thought i found a fuel oil tank turned out to be the top of a compressed gas tank that was cut off so i decided to move away from the house and move closer to the stream where there was an old mill as rumor has it and started finding some things.. now my first question is on my MD ill get hits for iron than zinc nickle coins etc bouncing back and forth why is that. some of my finds were over 6" down with the MD on med , by setting it to deep its finding stuff far enough down i wasnt prepared to dig lol so heres some photos. i found the remnants on an old steamer trunk made by L.Goldsmith & Son Trunk Makers Newark NJ from the 1900's the Big red thing that looks like some sort of blade i have no idea what that is so if anyone does please tell me lol
hopefully ill find some people who are local maybe get a hunt going
