I discovered two good things today.
The first is, if you ever go to parks that have pesky geese, just bring along your dog.
The honkers showed no fear of me what so ever until I told my dog to get out of the truck
and then they flew off instantly!
The second thing I discovered was my first gold ring of 2012.
Although there's no stamp in it for 14k, close examination with my loupe showed no signs of it being plated or junk metal. I think it's the real deal. I hope the small stones are diamonds.
I think the large stone is called a star sapphire? If the light hits it right, the star shape appears.
