My First GOLD Ring (it's an oldy!)

It's been in the salt mud for a few years I'd say,
intriguing design, somewhat like a Claddaugh,
may have been an inscription inside, tough to get a good photo,
I would welcome any clues on date or similar designs.

Same thoughts here, looks like a shield/coat of arms, I have spent a lot of time searching for anything similar, the ring is made in 2 pieces, maybe the emblem/coat of arms was a third piece on top of the shield, & came off..
histories mysteries..

Nice ring...My first golden oldy was from a late 1700's house,the mark's on the inside were XXX and a sideway's W.Anything in this one? Cool piece
