Hi everyone,
I've been out a bunch in 2007 with only a couple wheaties and clad making it into the pouch so far. Yesterday afternoon I met up with JohnnyMc and TnT2000 for about an hour after work. Because of snow on the ground, we went to a patch of woods that's produced big time for us in the past. We've hammered this spot, but we always squeak out something. We are now moving brush and fallen trees to find targets and under the first log I moved came my 20th IH out of this area.....1859 and it has pretty good detail.
Thanks for looking and HH.

Man that's an oldie and a goodie ... congratz on a great find!

Great looking Indian! I am amazed at the condition some of you find these coins in...Just awesome!

Wow what a perfect IH. Looks like it was lost soon after minting. You wonder what the person who lost it thought about the war that was about to start. That close to the start of the CW, rumblings of war were already beginning to permeate citizens of the north and south.

Great find!

Wow!
That's a great Indian Head.

Congratulations!

man what a sharp IH Mark. All of the IHs I have found so far are VERY rough.

Someday......

Thanks everyone. This is the nicest IH I've ever found. TnT found a 64 out of the same spot that was awesome.

Nice looking coin! You mentioned woods, is it an old camp site or something, or just woods?

we are not quite sure what was going on those woods...we have gotten a lot of coins so that means lots of people..

boy oh boy mark the detail really came out on that coin....and a first year minted Indian...like you said that site has been good to us but now its (bust your hump to find coins time)..

Congrats again TnT

I bet you dudes lucked upon an old picnic grove. Is there a stream around the area? It is suprising how the 1859 Injun doesn't show up much. I found 55 crazy Injuns last year and only one was an 1859. Great hunting, PA bud, you should find some old wilver there.

hot damn!!!!!!!!!!

Great start to the season, Mark. That's a nice old one! :o

Great looking Cupro-Nickle there!!
