I was able to break my slump today. Been too busy with work and the new baby to get out this last month. Went to a new site today to scout it out. My friend owns this piece of land that has a spring and a fallen down farm house on it. I hunted a field that I think was used as a garden site. In the corner of this field I found an old gravestone from 1816 so I know the site is pretty old.
I spent about 5 hours out there and walked away with 7 flat buttons and my 1st ever half dime. 1853 seated. I don't know much about the
Buttons so any info would be nice. Here's some pics.
Thanks for looking.
Ted

Can't offer any help on the buttons, but will offer a big congrats on the 1/2 dime.
Nice find for sure. Gold Nuggets :hello:

That Half Dime is breaking a slump with style. Several nice finds. Perhaps those buttons were once worn by the person buried there.

There is probably a privy there, too; you might be shocked at what (good things) you'll find in it.
