my first half dollar! 1899 barber

I hunted some property on the kalamazoo river today, after a couple dozen shell casings, I was finally rewarded with a small coin spill. I dug one of the old paper shell casings then hit he hole again and i had 2 full bars bouncing between 50 and 25 cents. I pulled out the half first and then the 2 dimes all within about 4 inches. my first half...I was geeked, stamped or not. thanks for looking all.

Great finds! I have found 2 Barber halves 30 years apart and oddly enough they were both 1911-D's. Counting the days down before heading home to Northern Michigan. Can't wait! Can't wait!

Great finds! Why is it stamped with a G? I just found my first half-1917 walking liberty, so I know how you feel. I had a slight buzz for about 30 minutes. Darndest thing I've ever experienced and I still can't believe it. I only wished mine had of been a barber.
