Dug this 1822 from an 1872 property that we detect quite often. Found in an area we have gone over a hundred time before. This is the first time I've used my AT Pro at this site!

Also dug an 187? IH. It's not pic worthy!

WTG Fella! It's an awesome feeling seeing one of those for the first time. :hello2:

It would be pic worthy if it were an 1877:laughing7:... Congrats on your first large cent. You've got the copper fever now.

awesome LC, nice work with the atpro

Way to go fella! I'm in Wisc and have been trying like crazy to find that elusive LC (love old coppers--as reflected in my signature). Any suggestions on types of Wisc sites to hunt for LCs? I've been trying at old homesteads from ~1860s. Congrats and HH!

those old homesteads may work, Try farmfields if possible, compare old maps to current google maps of farm fields and see if you can find some that had colonial era homesites on them. I stumbled upon my honeyhole pretty much by accident but turns out there was a house on it from 1770s to 1860s

Congrats! I'm still looking for my first LC.

Nice. Just found an 1825 large ¢ent today. My first was narrowed down to the late 1700's from the bust outline. No way I could get a date off it. Also found my first ½ ¢ent on Easter. Unfortunately, no date on that one either.

Thx everybody! I'm pretty excited about it.

Very nice looking Large Cent. Your first one is the one you always remember. Great find friend.

Id love to find one of those babies. Great job man.

Super ATP assisted find fella.

Congrats on your first LC! That's a great find for Wisconsin. The second one will be easier to find than the first.

Cheers,

Buck

Congratulations on your first Large Cent and a nice old date!
