Detector(s) used
Ace 150, Golden mask 3
I had permission to hunt new fields and hunted two days these sites. Owner told me these sites had been hunted earlier. So I tried to find what other detectors had left. I found some old coins. Here I found my best coin ever silver 1/2 öre that was used 1571-1592 and old klipping 161?. Also buckles, buttons and other relics.

congrats on your first hammered, is it debased silver?

I like the Lion looking object, what is it from?

:hello:

Very nice finds

in your first picture there is a Animal figure, it looks Roman, any chance of a closer picture of it :P

Thanks :). More lion photos. It is very small chance it is Roman because Finland is too north. Only few Roman finds in whole country :P. I dont know material or how old it is ???. Silver coin is not too good condition but silver it is anyway. Swedish silver coin info here http://ingemars.se/aldre_sv.htm

Must be late medieval was my first thought. It was mounted to?

The tooling on the back (filing) looks to match other late Med. stuff I have found :icon_thumright:

Leslie, thanks. Cru, Thanks for the info! Im sure it is more medieval than Roman. But one Finnish detector found this from Lapland. Celtic buckle :o. http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1278929/solki.jpg

Very nice brooch.

I know little about Finland history, I just say what I see based on what I find. I'm pretty sure it will turn out to be 1550s-1650s.

Yes. I should have checked it better ;D.
