My first Mercury Dime

Found the other day in my front yard. 1943, looks like someone just dropped it it was so clean, about 3 inches down. As soon as I saw it, I knew right away I'd finally hit big. Now on to the elusive V Nickel!

Congrats! The Mercury Dime has been elusive to me...in fact, all silver and gold! How many coins do I have to hunt for before I qualify for such a great find! Just one silver coin is all I ask...ONE! I'd find it, smoke a cigarette with satisfaction and call it a day!

WOO HOO! Silver will usually come out of the ground clean as if it was just dropped! Nothing better than seeing that shiny glint in the dirt.

Congrats on your first silver. It is a great feeling when you pull silver out of the ground. It's so different than the regular clad that we see so much of.

No, in the front yard. Last year I pulled up a 1938 Buffalo Nickel in the front yard, too.
