My first military button!

Got invited to hunt a new spot today a friend of mine just recently got permission to hunt. Only had about an hour and a half before the rain ran us off but found some pretty cool relics. Several buttons and some buckles but finally I dug a button with something on the front! A Light Artillery button from the War of 1812! My friend also found an Artillery button and another nice button with an eagle on the front (sorry no pics of his yet). Looks like this is going to be a great new site and I sure appreciated the invite!! Thanks for looking.

Hey Darby, that button looks extremely cool, if I found that I would take some closeup pix with some measurements and post it on the "what is it" forum and see what they come up with? Front and back. Those are great finds, thanks for sharing them with us.

Good on you!! My best finds are usually in the rain, but in the Pacific northwet, that is what u get! However, I found my indian wars military button on one of the rare dry days tho! All of my meager finds have been on my own, so I am still waiting for a quality invite!
